Toyama Japanese Restaurant in Elizabetd City

This is hands-down our favorite sushi restaurant. We live an hour away but it's definitely worth the trip. The staff is wonderful and the food is always excellent. We order sushi every time we go but they have lots of other choices on the menu so there's something for every taste.

Best Japanese food south of the Mason Dixon line. They have a wide variety of different types of sushi and sashimi, as well as cooked and uncooked sushi. Very respectful staff, clean and welcoming. Would recommend to anyone who enjoys Japanese/Asian food that will not break your wallet.

Great sushi and the customer service was excellent

What a delicious meal! I asked for suggestions, and our server was helpful and knowledgeable. Tucked away in historic downtown., I will be back.

Overpriced for what you get. Second time I ordered Chicken teriyaki to go with extra vegetables (which I did get charged for). Each plate came with 3 pieces of Brokkoli, 0 zucchini, 1 piece of carrot, but a bunch of soggy onions. Tastes okay but won’t come back!

We went there for dinner after graduation. Great sushi and the service was very good. They are a bit pricey but I have learned that you get what you pay for.

Truly a wonderful little nugget of greatness in Elizabeth City. There is not much culture in EC so having a true authentic Japanese restaurant in town is great. Great staff, wonderful setting, very clean. Great for family functions and business. Prices are moderate but the portions and the quality of the food/sushi/sashimi are well worth the prices.

Nice laid back small restaurant with delicious vegan sushi. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is they close at 2:30 pm and open back up at 4:30pm. I got there a little after 2:00pm not knowing this, and I felt very rushed when my food was ready. Other than that, everything was great.

Some of the best sushi I have ever had. They were a bit slow, but mainly because they were busy. Great place and will definitely go back. Only went with 4 stars because of the wait, food was excellent.

Great food and great service.

Went there with two friends just after work. I was worried sense I was paying the bill would be over the top. All three of us got sushi. I got one plate the other two got two plates each. Was some very fresh sushi, soooo good. The. I held my breath when the billed arrived I was very happy. It was t too bad at all just at $30.00 that is with tea for everyone. Very pleased. The staff is very attentive. Parking seems to be limited but it’s worth the trip and having something different was worth it.

Visited this local spot while leading a training nearby. Excellent service and yummy sushi. I'll definitely visit again. The Crazy Horse was great!

I ordered to go: seafood soup and seaweed salad. Food doesn't worth the price. Soup $5 was made from imitation of crabmeat. Seaweed salad was not enough for that price $5.Lady served me was not very friendly and tried to serve quickly. In receipt there was no dishes I paid for. I don't know what I paid for. Terrible.

I ordered Beef Negimaki. It was good then has some vegetable tempura and seaweed salad.

They take the time to remember you, the chefs make masterful and delicious creations, and they dont have overly inflated menu prices. Meaning you can eat there more often >>wink wink<<
